In a World Full of AI, Our Art Is As Real As It Gets

Lately it feels like everything online has a question mark over it. What’s real? What’s AI? What’s actually made by the hands claiming to have made it?
So we want to make something clear about us.
Every single piece in our gallery is hand painted by us, Struan and I. No staff. No outsourcing. No AI. No Shortcuts. Just two artists who love what we do, in our studio, brainstorming, having a ball, doing the work ourselves, every day.
When you visit our gallery in Daylesford, you’re seeing the actual paintings that lived on our easels. The brushstrokes are ours. The colour choices are ours. The long days, the late nights, the trial-and-error — all ours. Our lovely suppliers stretch our canvases for us in Melbourne then they get to delivered to us for painting, varnishing, re framing and hanging each piece.
There’s a lot of noise out there right now. A lot of shortcuts. A lot of things that look handmade but aren’t. But our practice hasn’t changed. What we create is real, tangible, and made the same way we’ve always made it: by hand, by us for nearly 10 years.
Art should feel human. You should be able to stand in front of a piece and know it was made with intention, patience and time.
So if you’re wondering what’s authentic these days, know this: our work is the real thing. No tricks. No technology doing the heavy lifting. Just honest painting from two people who genuinely love what they do.
Thanks for supporting the real stuff. It keeps this whole thing alive.
