Emma's work reframes the female form as one of presence, beauty, and quiet power. The intention is to honour the body on its own terms—gentle, feminine, and unyieldingly strong. There’s a softness and fluidity to the brushstrokes, created through sponges and layered washes, which invite the viewer to feel the figure before they see it. The lines are not exact but instead melt into one another, creating an intimate, emotive quality that feels like the memory of touch, or the softness of skin.
